Anna-Karin Forsberg, Head of Media, The Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden
Q: What led you into your chosen profession?
A: It was a mere chance. As a young student, studying northern languages, I
worked some hours per week at the "Archive of Northern Place Names" in Uppsala, Sweden, and was asked to manage the archive library as well. And then I just continued that way.
Q: What book are you reading right now?
A: I am actually reading a popular scientific book (an old one I found at the shelf in our library) by Einstein. Even a classical scholar as I am, may get
something out of it.
Q: Who do you admire the most (past or present)?
A: My grandfather. He was a farmer and he brought up nine children. He was
also very involved in the local government and cared of those who had a hard life. He was a very honest man.
Q: What was the first and last music record you bought?
A: The first one was Paul Anka with Diana. I was eleven or twelve years old. The latest (last year) is Astrud Gilberto singing Antonio Carlos Jobim.
Q: If you could have any career other than your chosen profession, what would you choose?
A: I would have chosen to study at the School of Economics.
Q: If you could have dinner with any 3 people, past or present, who would they be?
A: It should be the Swedish Prime Minister, the Swedish Minister for Education and Science, and the vice-chancellor of KTH (The Royal Institute of Technology).
Q: Money no option, where would you like to go on vacation?
A: Be free from work during one year and go round the world.
